Meet Laurie and Jon…they are a dynamic couple who, like us, have decided to enter into business together! Jon is a writer, Laurie is a business coach and graphic designer. They are bringing their skills together to assist small businesses with marketing and communications that is truly authentic to the business itself. Alan and I joined Jon and Laurie at their home for a business portrait session. They weren’t looking for a simple single headshot, which was awesome and make our job way more enjoyable! Here’s a little peek at the fun we had…

And this is Kerfuffle…

It snowed the night before so their tree with the little red berries was perfectly pleasing to the eye. We snagged a few pictures out side with the winter colors for their holiday card.

The day after Thanksgiving we had the pleasure of joining this fabulous group of people for a fun family photo shoot. Most of the “kids” live out of town and they all flew in for the holidays. What a fun group! I love seeing families enjoying the time they spend together. It can be so easy to get caught up in all the cares and worries of life that we forget to take time to enjoy and appreciate those closest to us. It was beautifully refreshing to watch a family be together and love it!

You may recognize this studly young man as the ring bearer from Jessica and Rob’s wedding. Jacquelyn and Jessica are sisters making Taylor (Jacquelyn’s son) the recipient of loads of family love! We got to spend the day with the family for Jessica and Rob’s wedding so we got to know Mike, Jacquelyn and Taylor a bit before their engagement session. For their session we went out to Pierz, MN to the farm that Mike grew up on. What a treat! We could have spent the entire day there..it was beautiful! Taylor spent the first half of the session with us. The second half was just for Jacquelyn and Mike and we headed into Lastrup to take some photos at the old gas station and it’s original pumps! Too fun!

At the end of the session they let us in the barns to see some of the baby, and not so baby animals!

About a week ago Katherine was in town from Texas and was in need of some headshots so we went downtown Anoka to get a few pics. Isn’t she beautiful! Here are a few of my favorites…

We had a great time photographing Owen, the newest member of the Johnson family!  It was just over two years ago that we photographed Mark and Kay’s Wedding and it was great to be able to work with them again.
