Don’t Miss a Moment!

Never miss a moment, even the dilly bars at 11:00pm

We are making the change.  We are fessing up to the fact that we have a hard time leaving a wedding at the time we are contracted to. The photojournalistic aspect of photography lives inside of us and we can’t shake it. So we are giving in.  For 2009 we have restructured our wedding packages to give you more of us! Each package now includes unlimited coverage for your wedding day! That’s right, we start when you start your hair and make-up, we end when you leave the reception. That way we can tell the entire story of your day rather than just the moments in the middle of the day.If you have already booked your wedding with us nothing will change within your contract unless you want to take advantage of the new time frame. If you have had your eye on one of our previous packages and you think it is just perfect for your wedding, let us know before the end of January and we will book you with your choice.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us!

Happy memory making in 2009!

Chocolate truffles and a new room

Here I am, back at Dunn Bros for another blog post. The road conditions were way better today. It is amazing what a little snow plowing can do.

For Christmas gifts for Alan’s family we decided to make a little something rather than shop, hunt and get frustrated not knowing what to get for people. We made chocolate truffles, mmm…. Christmas Eve day we worked all morning and into the afternoon making three basic styles of truffles and then dipping and rolling them in a variety of goodness to make some beautiful and quite delicious little treats.

The other big news of the season (as if amazing chocolate truffles aren’t enough) our addition is now a fully functioning dinning room! We have been up and running now for about a week and have had a few smaller dinner parties with family. Tonight we are having a larger shindig over here with friends to celebrate the new year and the new dining room. We still have a few finishing touches before it is all complete, but we are super excited to have our house back after about a year of dirt and grime while working.

Happy New Year! We wish you much joy and happiness in the year to come!

Looking for your opinion…

In less than an month we will be setting up a display at our first wedding fair. That means we need to create our setup for our first wedding fair. Talk about a project!

I am working on putting together what our set of images will look like for our backdrop. I want to use a variety of images, but I don’t want it to look cluttered. This is where your oppinion comes in to play. I want to hear what you think of the images I have selected. We are pretty much locked in to the sizes, but the images themselves can change. What do you think? Do you have a favorite image that you would like to see in our display?

Angie and Chris 30×20

Aaron and Annie – 20×30

Mollie and Sam – 30×15

Kendra and Kris – 24×20

Jerod and Rachel (mostly just Rachel) – 16×24

Here’s what they look like when they are all put together:

Leave me a comment to let me know what you think, Thanks!

A New Book!

As I was reading through ‘the Strobist’ – a photographic blog I like to keep up with – I learned that Annie Leibovitz has a new book coming out in November! I have been a distant fan of her work for the past few years and I am always mesmerized by the images she creates. Her new book is entitled, Annie Leibovitz: At Work. Apparently Amazon has a special pre-order price, so check it out!

We’re Off

This morning we begin our travels to Indiana to photograph Matt and Nancy’s Wedding. We might be able to keep up with email a little bit while we are on the road depending on what our internet access looks like, but if you call, we won’t be able to get back to you until Monday. See ya then!
