Travis and Kirsten – married!

“It’ll be like ice-fishing. Cold on the outside and really warm on the inside (but it won’t smell like fish)” These were Travis’ words to describe part of what was going to be unique about their wedding. Turns out Travis was right on! Alan and I were sitting on the couch having our morning coffee when we checked the temperature and read an whopping -20 degrees F. Yikes! Fortunately the wind wasn’t too bad.

Alan and I went to college with Kirsten and were absolutely delighted that she and Travis asked us to photograph their wedding. We began the morning at this lovely house for all the getting ready festivities!

and here were some of the warm sights that greeted us!

Travis and Kirsten are such a perfect couple together! Their eyes sparkle and light up when they are around each other!

Trinity Lutheran Church has the most wonderful stained-glass windows…mmmmm

Kirsten has the most wonderful smile that has the ability to light up a room!

I couldn’t decide which ring picture to use so you get two!

Travis and Kirsten, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your beautiful day! We wish you many blessings in your new life together. And we hope you are enjoying Jamaica!!!

Adam and Kristin – married!

Adam and Kristin were married on December 11th. It was a chilly day, but a beautiful day! Kristin brought many details together to give a beautiful and elegant feel to the day! The ceremony was held at the Nazareth Chapel at Northwestern College and the reception was held at the 317 on Rice Park in St. Paul.

Adam and Kristin had a smaller yet fun wedding party. I love it when people are willing to have a little fun and let their personalities show through!

The 317 overlooks Rice Park and the windows were light with the thousands of points of light that were dripping from the trees outside. What an elegant feel!

Brian and Maria – married!

What an amazing November day! October was cold, rainy and overall fairly unpleasant. Our first weekend of November was warmer than most of October and a perfect day for a wedding! We were very pleased to be a part of this wonderful couple’s day…not because the weather was nice, but because it always fun to see a couple, so in love, get married. Brian and Maria were married at Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington and had their reception at Olympic Hills Golf Club in Eden Prairie.

I wish I had a picture of this picture being taken. This was a picture Maria requested, to get the fullness of her dress as it made a circle around her. As I was working on the angle I wanted I soon realized that I was going to need to be taller…a foot or two taller. We didn’t know right where to find a chair or stool close by and we wanted to move on to work with the rest of the wedding party, so Alan offered his back! Yes, Alan was down on his hands and knees, I was standing on his back and Brian was giving me a steady arm so I could take pictures with the other hand! A wedding day is always an adventure!

I loved the light in the eyes!

Zack and Kellie – married!

October 31…Halloween…what a great day for  a wedding! Kellie and Zack incorporated many little festive pieces into their day that made the day more fun for everyone! Here’s a little glimpse into their day:

Kellie told us that they were not a “lovey-dovey” couple, so I guess we should not have been surprised that this is what we got when we asked for a little kissy action…

Meet Wolf, the limo driver. Yes, he is dressed up as a werewolf for Halloween!

We did finally get Zack and Kellie to give each other a little kiss for the camera!zack-and-kellie-blog-e38

Their reception was filled with fun fall and Halloween themed decor.

The kids even got to do a little trick-or-treating and participate in a costume contest.

I kept hearing that Zack wasn’t the dancing type, but I had a hard time believing that, especially after the Thriller dance that the guys pulled out!

I think my favorite part of the dance was later in the evening when the adults pulled out their masks while out on the dance floor…I’m still giggling! I think I need a collection of these masks!

Rob and Jessica – married!

Rob and Jessica were married on October 17th at the Church of the Nazarene in Osseo. The day was perfect! We have had rain nearly every day of October, but for Jessica and Rob’s wedding it was 50+ and sunny! It was so wonderful to see the sun again. Our morning began at the Northland Inn as the wedding party got ready. It was fun to spend the morning with Jessica’s friends and family because you could really see how much they loved each other!
